Our Building Philosophy
Custom Homes of the Rockies embraces three qualities in its building philosophy: VALUE, GREEN, and LOCAL. By combining these three qualities in all stages of construction, we strive to build the best home possible for you - an extraordinary home.
VALUE - At Custom Homes of the Rockies, we define VALUE as the ideal combination of quality, price, and service. This is true for the products that we purchase as well as the contractors we choose for advice and quality work.
GREEN - The term GREEN and green building are rapidly becoming more common in the residential construction industry. However, many consumers have mistaken conceptions regarding green builders, products, and building techniques. At Custom Homes of the Rockies, we define GREEN as products and techniques that use fewer resources over the lifetime of the home. Resources include energy, materials, and water. In a nutshell, we use a 5- to 7-year payback period as our timeframe for green products and techniques. In other words, if a product or technique will pay for itself over 5-7 years and meets our standards for being green, then we are likely to use it.
LOCAL - Whenever possible, we use local resources, suppliers, and contractors in constructing our custom homes. We believe in supporting our local economy.
We believe in conducting business with our suppliers,
contractors, and homeowners honestly and ethically. Custom Homes of the Rockies has high standards for itself and the many people with whom we choose to do business. We
are members of the Better Business Bureau and conform to its rigid
standards and arbitration guidelines.
Custom Homes of the Rockies believes that the construction industry is a dynamic and ever-changing sector of the economy. Thus, it is crucial to keep up with the latest technologies, products, and building techniques. How else can we distinguish between a trend and a legitimate product innovation? We keep up-to-date by attending local lectures and national seminars and by tracking the latest techniques and reviewing industry publications. At Custom Homes of the Rockies, we do not pretend to know it all. Building extraordinary homes requires openness to lifelong learning and ongoing consumer input. |
